Our Team - Vets

John Bowie, (BVMS, MRCVS)

John qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1985. John worked in Cornwall, Ayrshire and Shropshire, before coming to Swanspool in 1995. His principle interest is small animal medicine.

Anna Holden, (BVM MRCVS)

Anna qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1995. When Anna qualieid she spent 2 years in a mixed practice in Wiltshire before travelling and working in Australia and New Zealand. Since 2000 Anna has worked in small animal practices in Bucks and Northants. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and has an interest in tortoises. Outside of work anna plays rugby, enjoys walking, DIY and gardening.

Jonathan Harte, (BVM&S, MRCVS)

Jonathan graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2004. He joined the practice straight after graduation and stayed with us for 3 years as a mixed vet doing equine, farm and small animal work. He then left us to go travelling and when he returned to the UK he realised his interest lay with small animals. He rejoined Swanspool in October 2011 and his main interests are surgery and orthopaedics.

Samantha Tilly, (BVSc MRCVS)

Samantha qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2015. Sam joined the practice after graduating. She has a general interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine. In her spare time Sam enjoys painting, cooking and spending time with friends.

Jacquie Mailer, (BVM MRCVS)

Jacquie graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 1988. After working in mixed practice for 3 years in Gloucestershire, and a year backpacking around the world, Jacquie then worked in various small animal practices around Leicestershire. She joined Swanspool on a part-time basis in 2014. Outside of work Jacquie enjoys playing tennis, travelling in her campervan and gardening.

Sabrina Ardelean, (MRCVS)

Sabrina qualified from the University of Agricultural Studies & Veterinary Medicine Romania in 2017. Sabrina moved to England straight after graduatin. She has previously worked at another practice in Kent. Sabrina has a general interest in both internal medicine and surgery. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and dicovering new cultures.

Lea Zeltser, (BVM MRCVS)

Lea qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018. Lea joined the practice after graduating. Although she has an American accent, Lea is indeed French but has been to international American schools around the world. She enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary practice. Outside of work, Lea likes to ski, rock climb, and bake.

Zoe Wilkinson, (BVMBVS MRCVS)

Zoe qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2014. Zoe transferred to the practice in 2017 after working nearly 3 years at another small animal practice. Zoe has always had an interest in exotic animal medicine and so tends to see a lot of our stranger companion pets. She also enjoys surgery. In her spare time Zoe enjoys walking with her dog Akai, clay pigeon shooting and creative hobbies.

Our Team - Nurses & Admin

Allyson Cleaver, (V.N - Head Nurse)

Allyson qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002. Allyson joined Swanspool in 2005 after working as a deputy head nurse in Herts. She is also a qualified Nurse Assessor and heads a team of 11 qualified and 1 student veterinary nurses. In her spare time Allyson enjoys horse-riding.

Sandra Bridgman, (Practice Manager)

Sandra joined the practice in 2017. Her role is to manage the non-clinical side of the practice. Together with her small team they are responsible for the accounts, payroll, administration and the maintenance of the building and cars. In her spare time she enjoys water skiing and taking long walks in the countryside with her two dogs..

Mandy Kellet, (Head of Reception)

Mandy has been at Swanspool since 2001. Mandy heads up our team of receptionists who deal with our clients face to face, as well as dealing with incoming telephone calls. Mandy's spare time is taken up with breeding and showing her own pedigree Texel sheep.
